BWL to Hold Press Conference Following Outage Caused by Train Accident in East Lansing
The media is invited to a press conference where the Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) will provide an update on outages following an incident with a train and high winds in East Lansing. Around 11am today, an eastbound train crossing Hagadorn Rd. near Michigan State University’s campus entangled with a third party wire attachment, causing several BWL power poles to break along Hagadorn Rd. between Grand River Ave. and Mt. Hope Ave. causing around 4,000 customers to lose power.
