The greater Lansing region is home to Michigan’s state capitol, as well as Michigan State University - one of the top research universities in the world, and Lansing Community College – a local institution providing technical training to support regional industries. Plus, Mid-Michigan is one of the most affordable places to work and live in the country.
As Michigan’s largest municipally owned utility and one of Lansing’s largest employers, the BWL works closely with local, regional and state business and economic development partners to promote and support projects that create growth and synergy throughout Greater Lansing.
In addition to providing existing and prospective business customers with site evaluation support, BWL leadership is actively engaged in placemaking and regional economic development initiatives in collaboration with our partners on the local and state levels. These efforts not only help us better understand the current climate and opportunities in the Greater Lansing area, but they also allow the BWL to help connect our business partners to key decision-makers.
