Brian Pillar serves as an appointed, non-voting advisory member of the Board of Commissioners. He represents Meridian Township, where he has resided since 2007.
Commissioner Pillar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University, majoring in Telecommunications while specializing in Film Studies. He began his career working in one of Michigan State University's IT departments. Mr. Pillar accepted a position for a Lansing-area software development company, leading the IT Operations teams. He then accepted a position with the State of Michigan, Department of Technology, Management and Budget where Commissioner Pillar presently serves as a General Manager of IT with his teams supporting the public safety agencies at the State of Michigan.
Commissioner Pillar was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in July 2023 and his term expires on June 30, 2024.
