    The BWL is partnered with Do1Thing.com to help customers be better prepared for emergencies. It is recommended that you be aware of and prepare for your family’s or business’ unique needs.

    The mission of Do 1 Thing is to move individuals, families, businesses and communities to prepare for all hazards and become disaster resilient.

    Do1Thing is a local non-profit organization that wants to help build stronger communities and has a new tip on how to be prepared each month. After choosing one thing for 12 months, you’ll be better prepared for emergencies.

    The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. They also have many resources to help individuals become more prepared for the next disaster. You can purchase various items from their store at www.redcrossstore.org. Items for sale include first aid and emergency preparedness kits, as well as hand crank and battery operated radios and lights.

    Another useful set of tools the American Red Cross provides to people, at little or no cost, are the various apps for both Android and Apple products. Many of these apps are useful in helping you become ready for the next disaster including a first aid app and weather related apps.
